Americans will overreact to anything, especially their politics. I know people who claim that they're crossing the border into Canada the second a Republican steps into the White House, and I don't even have to mention about those personal armouries owned by the rednecks....

You'd think the most powerful nation on the planet would have a better sense of political realities wouldn't you? Like how if America turned into the new Third Reich, or 1984s Oceania, the rest of the world would simply unite against them and America would collapse due to lack of trade. But no, the worst case scenario will always happen without fail

I have no interest in politics in my own country, I really do like the idea of isolationism better, but unfortunately it doesn't work that way.

No it does not. Hell I remember a quote from COD:MW2.

"We are the biggest military power in human history. Every fight is our fight, we don't get to sit one out."

It was a duty that the American government took upon themselves after WW2 to ensure nothing like it ever happened again. Either that or let the imperialists, Bolsheviks and neo-Fascists fight over the remians of the Old World. The less of two evils I think.

Good point, although there are definatley nazies and socialists/communists in BOTH parties, if you really study them. Just not every memmber though.

Honestly, while I dislike both sides at the moment, I can't stand the usage of "Nazi" or "Communist" being thrown around like the F-word.
